Filmmaker S.S Rajamouli has posted a video to express that Kannada people shouldn’t miss out on the opportunity to watch Baahubali 2: The Conclusion just because Sathyaraj made some comments nine years ago.
Even as Baahubali 2 gets set to hit screens on April 28, pro-Kannada organisations have started protests against the release in Karnataka, as the film stars actor Sathyaraj in the role of Kattappa.
These organisations have demanded an unconditional apology from actor Sathyaraj to allow smooth release of the film in Karnataka.
It may be noted that actor Sathyaraj had made some angry remarks during the Cauvery row a few years back.
While the protest against Baahubali 2’s release continues, pro-Kannada organisations have threatened to go on a state-wide strike if Sathyaraj doesn’t apologize.
Buzz is that no distributor has so far come forward to buy the theatrical rights of Baahubali 2 in Karnataka due to fear over a possible hostile response from pro-Kannada organisations.
